The Lodge
Camp Daggett has evolved from tent camping with outhouses and no electricity or refrigeration to a beautiful 13,000 square foot lakefront cedar lodge built by Town & Country Log Homes and 12 camper cabins accompanied by 2 shower and restroom facilities.
Camp Daggett maintains over 1,400 feet of lake frontage on beautiful Walloon Lake and 111 acres of forests, wetlands and meadows. Just minutes from local Northern Michigan towns such as Petoskey, Boyne City, Charlevoix, Harbor Springs and East Jordan, the site is ideally suited for recreational and educational activities.
The lodge contains a commercial kitchen, heated dormitories for 60, restroom and showers, camp offices and a rustic dining hall with a massive field stone fireplace and whole Northwest Pacific fir trusses supporting a 30-foot ceiling.
Outdoors, campers are served by a large recreation field for softball, soccer, kickball and other various games; a sand volleyball court, a basketball court, pickle ball courts, nature trails, a pond for aquatic study, and hiking and cross country trails.
All facilities are continually upgraded and well maintained. Although the exterior of Camp has changed, the camp’s mission has remained the same and is increasingly necessary as young people face growing societal challenges.
Camp Daggett’s lodge and facilities can be rented by individuals, organizations, clubs, corporations, etc. Meals can be catered or guests can make themselves at home in our fully equipped kitchen.
