Meet Doug

Doug De Ceuninck (dee-cun-ick) has a solid history with Camp Daggett. He was on the Daggett staff in the mid 1980’s (84-87), and most recently, 2021-22. His wife Marie served on staff from 1991-92, and two of his five daughters served on staff: Emily (2012-18) and Samantha (2021). Marie has also been helping out at camp for the past two years as an “unofficial staff member,” assisting where needed.

Professionally, Doug is a former High School Athletic Director as well as a former High School Baseball and Softball Coach. Currently, he is Athletics Booster Club President and Concession Coordinator at his local high school in Clinton Township, MI, and also drives a school bus for L’Anse Creuse School District.

Doug is the perfect person to serve as Summer Camp Director. He has the knowledge of Daggett history and traditions, but also the professional experience to lead this active program into the future and develop staff into leaders.

Doug has a passion for camp and how it can positively shape the lives of young people. It is this passion, coupled with his experience and track record of success, that makes Doug the perfect fit for Camp Daggett’s needs.
